Is Media Deceiving America About Hillary's Health?

Question for discussion is not if media is deceptive.  The NY Times has admitted that journalists now are 'protecting' the narrative the elite believes is best for America.

The question is specific about media and Hillary's health:

I support Trump, but how is Clinton's supposedly Parkinson's disease affecting her job?
Does a president have to be physically healthy?

I understand lying and cheating affect the job. But her physical health?

However, all I know about Parkinson is the shaking. I watched the video, and the freezing thing may affect her ability to make instant decisions?

@ Elizabeth, a really great resource for Parkinson's is michaeljfox.org https://www.michaeljfox.org/understanding-parkinsons/living-with-pd/topic.php?prognosis

The Dems are presenting Hilary Clinton as their candidate for president. Given what has been reported by the "fringe" media (outside of mainstream), if it is true Hilary Clinton has Parkinson's then the symptoms she is presenting are advanced. If she can't fulfill the requirements as a running candidate, what are they going to do if she wins the election? IMO, it's not a matter of "if", it's she won't be able to do the job. Unlike what [they're] doing now, they can't hide the President. So, the question then becomes, how soon after the election will she be put to pasture and the real candidate take office? And who says Tim Kaine would actually *be* the president? Is he running the show behind-the-scenes, now? If no, then who? Aren't you curious who the the real face of the Democrat's candidate for president is and if they win, what their mandate will be?

Regardless, would you vote for Tim Kaine?

I am looking forward to the debates and to see how they will dance around her not having to debate on a live set and standing up, if at all.

The video was particularly troubling for me to watch as I grew up seeing my father degenerate before my eyes with Parkinson's.

How does it impact employment?

One cannot hold a job with Parkinson's; most are disabled. It impacts everything from motor skills to basic thinking. As rx is increased, motor skills improve at the cost of mental capacity; as Rx is reduced, the brain comes back but the motor skills go out.

It is debilitating.

If she has Parkinson's, she is literally killing herself in the campaign. She has serious health issues being hidden by media. Who do they think will run the country? Bill Clinton again? Kaine? Or will Obama suspend the elections like a banana republic tyrant for "emergency" reasons?

Her coughing is because (if Parkinson's) she is choking; not seasonal allergies, and so on.

If Parkinson's, it has been known and treated for many years, but the narrative must come first. Journalism today is akin to Nazism, East Germany, old Soviet, Cuban, banana republic, and so on...

a disgrace.

Yet, it was the propaganda's "need to persuade" via lies and threats that the UK people saw through, so....

Interesting update:

She just left the 911 service. She appears to be losing consciousness and is caught by Secret Service. It took almost an hour for her campaign to come up with a response: "overheating."

The video does not show someone tripping, but actually going out on her feet. The reporting varies dependent upon the media outlet.

Regarding narcissists, true, they are not often to commit suicide; it only happens when they reach a point of utterly "nothing left." Any chance she has had a deep brain stimulator implant to control tremors?

My father-in-law has Parkinson's and he had one done when he was in his eighties. It works pretty well to control his tremors. It does need to be adjusted periodically which is done by an implant under the skin on the upper chest. Her hair would cover up any evidence of having one done.

Breaking News Statement: Hillary Clinton was diagnosed with Pneumonia on Friday.

Anonymous said...

Well why do we only learn about that now, now that she collapsed on Sunday? If this information about a presidential candidate was available on Friday, should it not have been made public that same Friday?

Anonymous said...

Also, after the seizure-like episode when she was interviewed (strange head movements); Hillary was very quick to ' blame' it on the chai. This seems to indicate that she was not surprised and knew something like this could happen in public. It is becoming more likely that Hillary's health issues will become her downfall in the next few weeks/months before the election. There is obviously something going on there and there will have to be public appearances and debates where she won't be able to hide it anymore.

Even so, I am not a Trump fan either. I am not from the USA but I'm pretty amazed that such a large - and great - country has found itself to have to choose between the candidates that they currently have ended up with. Surely there must be more talented, wise, intelligent, healthier and more honest people in the USA that would make a better president?

Anonymous said...

Anon 5:44: It's mind-boggling to think the public wasn't informed (none of our business) of her pneumonia diagnosis on Friday. Also disturbing to me is that she was continuing on a grueling schedule, rather than resting and recovering from a serious illness. She doesn't have the flu (infuenza); she has Pneumonia. That's serious, and I would think anyone her age with that would be hospitalized, or at least ordered on antibiotics and bed rest. AND why lie to all of us, 90 minutes after, and say "She was over-heated"??

I wonder what would happen if she managed to avoid answering questions about her tme as secretary, the emails, Benghazi and her health and managed to get elected and it then came out about her health being bad enough to cause her to resign?

Is it possible she is being touted as candidate for the dems in order for them to retain the presidency and then replace her with whoever they originally wanted as president?
She is well known and electable and the other person wasn't and isn't?
Does she have the goods on important people that she had to be selected and elected or else?

Will she resign on health grounds and then claim some mental deficiency so that she cannot be prosecuted for her nefarious deeds?
She wasn't in her full faculties when she did whatever she did.
She kept it secret from everyone except maybe bill.
Questions would be asked but plausible deniability rears its head and everyone walks away with a flea in their ear and a don't do it again.

Will obama bring in new laws or change old laws to cover her and protect her.
Could they declare any election null and void due to hillary's issues and seek a do over?

Is she so narcissistic and power crazed that she will do anything and everything to get the top job even if she only does one term?

Will we see michelle obama having a goon the grounds of if hillary can do it so can she?
What about chelsea?
What about obama's kids?

If the truth comes out about hillary and her health issues, will we see staff falling on their swords to protect her (willingly or forced to)?

Will laws change to prevent people like obama and clinton ever getting elected?
Will we see laws signed in by obama being revoked, especially if it turns out he was never legally allowed to run for president since he is a foreign national?

American politics is getting real interesting right now.

Hillary Clinton's doctor has revealed the Democratic presidential candidate was diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday, then put on antibiotics and advised to rest.

The diagnosis came three days before Mrs Clinton stumbled while leaving a ceremony to mark 15 years since the 9/11 terror attacks in New York.

Dr Lisa R. Bardack said in a statement that Mrs Clinton was also advised to modify her campaigning schedule, adding that she is "recovering nicely" after Sunday's incident.

"Secretary Clinton has been experiencing a cough related to allergies," the statement said.

Source tells me Hillary Clinton "clearly having some type of medical episode" & had to be helped into van by her protective detail at WTC
— RickLeventhalFoxNews (@RickLeventhal) September 11, 2016

"On Friday, during follow up evaluation of her prolonged cough, she was diagnosed with pneumonia.

"She was put on antibiotics and advised to rest and modify her schedule. While at this morning's event, she became overheated and dehydrated.

"I have just examined her and she is now re-hydrated and recovering nicely."

Earlier Mrs Clinton said she was "feeling great" despite becoming overheated and leaving early during the ceremony.

The Democratic presidential candidate spoke as she left her daughter Chelsea's home in Manhattan, where she went to recuperate following the memorial.
Hillary Clinton attends a ceremony to mark the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks

Footage has emerged showing Mrs Clinton being supported by officials as she gets into a black vehicle while leaving the memorial.

The footage appears to show Mrs Clinton swaying before stumbling on the street.

Her campaign released a statement saying Mrs Clinton "attended the September 11th Commemoration Ceremony for just an hour and 30 minutes ... to pay her respects and greet some of the families of the fallen.

"During the ceremony, she felt overheated so departed to go to her daughter's apartment, and is feeling much better."

The statement offered no additional details, including whether the 68-year-old Mrs Clinton required medical attention.

Democratic Representative Joe Crowley of New York, a Clinton supporter who attended the event, told MSNBC that the weather was "stifling" during the ceremony.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has repeatedly raised questions about his rival's health and whether she has the energy to serve as president.

During Mrs Clinton's speech at a campaign rally earlier this month in Cleveland, she was interrupted by a coughing spell.

During the speech, she quipped: "Every time I think about Trump I get allergic."

She then resumed her speech.

In December 2012, Mrs Clinton suffered a concussion and shortly after had a blood clot.

In a letter released by her doctor in July, Clinton was described as being in "excellent health" and "fit to serve" in the White House.

As long as Hillary has licensed docs willing to say that she is in good health..that's all she needs.
I find it funny that people are so worried about someone's physical health but have no problem voting into office someone that is mentally unstable or a drug user.

https://www.michaeljfox.org/foundation/news-detail.php?swallowing-and-parkinson-disease

Why is she continuing? - she is not well enough to appear at most of her campaign events and she must know she is not going to recover or get better if it is Parkinson's (some say dementia). She should bow out and enjoy whatever time and leisure she can before her health deteriorates even further.

Is she under pressure from Bill or others to keep going - who would want to be captured having seizures for the whole world to see?

Clearly something's wrong with Clinton due to numerous uncontrollable coughing fits and fainting spells; the fact she refuses press conferences is becoming clearer and clearer.

However, this doctor reporting her surprised looks means she's having seizures, nodding her head (like she's done since the early 90s) is a sign of Parkinson's, and critique of her hand gestures, there he's being deceitful and pursuing an agenda beyond medical diagnosis. He concludes with biased political attacks, which, sadly, puts his credibility as a scientist in doubt.

I agree the two "main" candidates are awful. We've got more than two people running though, and one of them (Gary Johnson) has more executive office experience than either Don or Hil. Plus he's not crazy, sick or corrupt. Less government all around, but unfortunately people seem to require a D or an R next to their candidate. And the media all but ignores him. Maybe if he has a coughing fit or faints, they'll care!

Both died of pneumonia.

Everyone is different, just like diagnosing Parkinson's is difficult because the symptom's vary.

Re: Hillary: I can't stand even looking at her for longer than one second, but still I don't see how you people have diagnosed her with Parkinson's based on coughing or pneumonia. Are you people neurologists?

How do you take symptoms of coughing and pneumonia and extrapolate that into Parkinson's disease? People over age 65 are much more prone to pneumonia than adults under age 65. My father, who is very healthy, rarely sick with even a cold and a long distance runner, got pneumonia a few years ago right after he hit age 65. I hate to say it, but it is utterly ludicrous to diagnose HIllary with Parkinson's based on coughing and pneumonia, and yes, when people have pneumonia they cough...quite a bit! Older people also do not usually have the very high fevers younger people get with pneumonia. My son had pneumonia twice due to being born premature his lungs do not fight off certain strains of viruses/bacteria well. The first time he almost died due to going into rapid respiratory distress and what they thought may have been a small portion of collapsed lung which happened the first day he presented with signs of illness. VERY SCARY. The second time he had it he was sick for 40 days and was cycled through 3 different anti-biotics till they found something which worked...at one point, his fever spiked to about 104 and then dropped rapidly down to a normal temperature overnight...which is a fluke of pneumonia...it does not mean the person is better either it is just how the body reacts to the illness. Pneumonia is a tricky and scary thing but in senior citizens presents differently than in younger people, oftentimes presenting as more of a walking pneumonia, lacking the high fever and extreme malaise found in younger people who have it. I know way too much about pneumonia having sat with my son for 40 days when he was sick on the couch with it and me looking up info as the docs switched him through 3 different anti-biotics because nothing was getting rid of it. Essentially, nothing anyone is saying about Hillary suggests Parkinsons whatsoever.

According to Snopes, the "medical doctor" in the video, Dr. Ted Noel, is a board-certified physician with 36 years of experience — as an anesthesiologist, and he is a known conspiracy theorist with a political agenda.

The health statement from the physician who performed a thorough physical examination of Hillary Clinton is an interesting read, as well:

The Sheep at 7.39 - I agree he's pursuing an agenda beyond medical diagnosis; he also denies it's a diagnosis when it would appear he is making one of Parkinson's, which seems a somewhat disingenuous approach. He may well be right, but his political bias is out of place whilst speaking in his capacity as a physician. Free time, free speech, free YouTube platform - but he's still using his professional standing against Hillary. I don't know if that has to put his credibility as a scientist into doubt - I think it's his ethics which might not be so hot to use his medical knowledge for the purpose of attacking Hillary politically.

She seems unwell and in need of much support to function. Her physician's opinion is maybe not doing Hillary any favours. She can afford and should seek second and third opinions - it would seem the obvious and right thing to do in the circumstances. Surely, even if she were elected, she, or any, should not be inaugarated without some independent medicals?

---
It's astonishing that Hillary or the Donald could become US President, IMO - if I were a US citizen I would not vote for either.

---
Is anyone responding specifically to the question? I haven't followed the US media closely enough on Hillary to be able, beyond thinking the reasons given for her turns in health might sound like minimisation, which is pretty standard with politicians' health issues - would that necessarily be a media agenda, or more repetition of what her aides say to the media, and caution in case of misrepresentation?

The Sheep said...

Hey Jude-

Is anyone responding specifically to the question?

If Peter is asking if media is under reporting Hillary's coughing fits and fainting spells, prior to yesterday morning, yes. Now they are all over it. If he is asking why aren't they reporting what this anesthesiologist says about Parkinson's in a YouTube video where he begins by claiming it's not a medical diagnosis, then, no, they are not being deceptive, they just aren't running, as a news story, an opinion someone shared.

I would have to look at old news to have enough of an idea to answer Peter's question, and then it would only be a subjective answer. He's not asking if media is under reporting, or why they aren't reporting on a YouTube, rather if media is deceiving America about Hillary's health. Under reporting is not the same as outright deception, I don't think - but then, personal subjective dictionary.

Hillary’s New Go-To Gesture: Hand to the Heart

When Hillary Clinton told her audience at a rally in Las Vegas on Thursday “Here’s what I believe,” she punctuated those words with not just a vocal flourish but a physical one. Up went her hand, placed over her heart.

It’s a gesture unfamiliar from her past campaigns, but it’s a favorite this time around. In Columbus, Ohio, and Omaha, Mrs. Clinton spoke of her late father, and up went her hand, placed over her heart.

At the Democratic National Convention, when she took the stage to wild applause, she cued the audience on how grateful, moved and humbled she felt by putting her hand to her heart, once, twice, then a third and fourth time.

It’s a subliminal message of sincerity that some language experts consider contrived.

Bill McGowan, a communications coach and chief executive of Clarity Media Group, calls the hand-on-heart motion “the gesture du jour.” He said he has noticed that other politicians have adopted the habit, and he doesn’t think it’s entirely artless.

“Voters are more and more wise to the fact that speeches are carefully constructed and vetted, yet at the same time there is so much demand for a higher level of authenticity,” Mr. McGowan said. “Candidates are looking for anything that makes them seem like they are speaking genuinely from the heart, and not from a thoroughly vetted key message document.”

The Sheep said...

Chelsea Clinton used the gesture when she introduced her mother at the convention. Michelle Obama put her hand on her heart multiple times when she mentioned her daughters. Khizr Khan, the father of a Muslim United States soldier killed in combat, did the same when the crowd applauded his son’s sacrifice.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of Canada may have inspired the trend: He put his hand to his heart so humbly and so often before cheering audiences during his campaign last year, it became almost a trademark.

Or, as Tristin Hopper, a writer for the Canadian newspaper The National Post put it: “Trudeau, however, manages not only a hand on his heart but moist eyes and a glowing expression, all delivered as a kind of silent ‘For me? Oh my God, thank you.’”

“If you are cynical, which I am not, you could say Hillary Clinton is trying to show audiences that she is warm and fuzzy and approachable,” said Anna Greenberg, a Democratic pollster. “But from my perspective, it’s great shorthand: It conveys emotion and gratitude and humbleness. It reminded me of baseball players who point a finger up to the sky after a home run to say that it was God, not them, who made it happen.”

Ms. Greenberg noted that the hand-to-heart motion was especially effective for female politicians. “Men are rewarded for showing their feelings, but women are still judged differently,” she said. “This is a way of showing emotion without crying.”

The Sheep said...

There is no way to pinpoint how or when the motion gained currency. When Angelina Jolie received a humanitarian award at the Sarajevo Film Festival in 2011, she put her hand on her heart several times to show how moved she was by the honor. But it’s rare at Hollywood awards ceremonies, possibly because movie stars holding statuettes don’t want to risk whacking themselves in the thorax.

The gesture is more common as a greeting or a sign of respect in parts of Asia and the Middle East, so it’s possible Mrs. Clinton picked it up while traveling as secretary of state. She did put her hand on her heart during a visit to Saudi Arabia in 2010 — but in that case, King Abdullah had inquired about former President Clinton’s health, and she was explaining that her husband had two stents put in one of his coronary arteries.

It could just be that the gesture is a nonverbal version of phrases that suddenly turn ubiquitous: “iconic,” instead of “special,” “granular” instead of “detailed,” “I’m good” instead of “no thank you.”

At the moment, the use of “unpack” in lieu of “explain” is popular: When Chris Wallace in a Fox News interview last Sunday suggested to Mrs. Clinton that her economic plan would create more costly government programs, she replied, “Well, but let’s unpack that.”

Sometimes, these expressions are infectious, but Mr. McGowan said he considered it unlikely that Mrs. Clinton adopted the habit unconsciously. (The Clinton campaign did not return calls asking for comment.) “There is probably no deeper analysis of the ways to communicate than in politics,” Mr. McGowan said. “I wouldn’t be surprised if the campaign tested it on focus groups.”

Sociologists have tested it. Michal Parzuchowski, an assistant professor at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Sopot, Poland, conducted empirical studies of the hand-to-heart gesture and concluded that not only does it make the user appear more truthful, it can also persuade that person to be more trustworthy.

In his paper, “From the Heart: Hand Over Heart as an Embodiment of Honesty,” Mr. Parzuchowski reported that the gesture “leads to increased perceptions of honesty in others and decreases one’s own cheating (Study 4) and the telling of white lies (Study 3), compared to persons performing neutral gestures.”

There is another school of thought on the subject, most easily described as Science, Schmience.

On his website, Nicolas Fradet, a consultant and body-language specialist, puts hand-on-heart at No. 6 on his list of 13 revealing gestures.

“This conveys a person’s desire to be believed or accepted,” he wrote. “Though intended to communicate sincerity, it doesn’t necessarily mean honesty. It just means, ‘I want you to believe me (whether or not what I say is true).’”

I have no idea what is wrong with Hillary but this is what I experienced.

I was dx. with pharyngitis. A nasty little virus settled in my pharynx and the coughing fits were terrible. When I talked to long, it felt like my voice box just seized up..became really dry, and I started coughing. This coughing lasted SO long that many times, I fainted. I dropped where I stood. You can only cough so long without an inhale before you pass out from lack of oxygen. It's surprisingly just seconds really. Now add lack of sleep.
I was a mess. I suffered 2 concussions (cuz I just fainted and then cracked my head on a door jamb once and then actually broke/crashed thru a kitchen cupboard) numerous bruises, loss of memory, it's a wonder I didn't kill myself from a head injury!

Anyway, my point being, no one knows what is wrong with her and to hazard a guess based on talking heads or video is not reliable or accurate.

It should be interesting tho to see if something "leaks" out about the nature of her illness tho.

Parkinson's first came to light via her leaked email:

http://stateofthenation2012.com/?p=48648

It is now being reported that she will release her medical records. If it's anything like the 30,000 email she denies being "classified" (the headers and footers and security levels cut and pasted away) these documents will actually look "official" with her name, dates, lab names, etc., headers and footers and everything; however, it'll be the contents said documents I would questions as "truth" given her penchant for non-stop lying.

More leaks to come next month, and of course, there are the LIVE, stand-up debates. Those should be the ultimate, definitive moments.

So much speculation about her illness being more than a cold or flu. Lots of people get seriously ill with the cold (or flu) especially if they're working excessive hours; I reckon Clinton is fine, or rather she WILL be when she has a rest, physically and emotionally.
